It could simply be misread. It doesnt mean that the only option is thus failure, but that success isn’t an option, ie it’s not something you can choose, it’s compulsory.

LOL…. success is not optional. Geez, you should probably have a command of the English language prior to having it tattooed down the side of your body.
She should’ve put:
“Success is the only option”
or
“Failure is not an option”
